Please, restructure the Netherlands.

maroon bricks

A big question but a fair one since I have been criticising the government of the Netherlands during the pandemic.

Let’s start. Below the budget of the Netherlands from 2019 – 2025.

So when you look from 2019 – 2022 he have increased our budget (covid money alone: €78,600,000,000.00). The covid-19 measures and compensation. Some of these compensations (loans;Tozo, KKC and postponement of taxmoney to the tax authority) need to be paid back to the government.

Our 2 biggest financial post from 2020 – 2022 were social affairs and employment opportunities / healthcare and wellbeing:

Most people will be understanding that the healthcare cost have risen. So test capacity went from €929,000,000.00 to €5,472,000,000.00 within a year, that is astronomical. Yes, we have a pandemic and yes, testing is important. But this x5.8 from first to the second year. How and where exactly is that tax money being spend. It would be ridiculous not to ask this question. Look, healthcare is (really) important but this government has a serious spending issue which makes other important things, housing for example nearly impossible. Thereby more debt is not the best solution, because debts have to be paid back.

So below the government spending of 2022 per category, in billions of euro’s.

So my answer would be, restructure. Our healthcare system is enormous 93,000,000,000.00 euro’s. This is a going to be a problem. I’m almost 90% sure that due to certain inefficiencies without loss of capacity we could cut 1/4 of the budget.

The problem is there is no annual report from the governmental from the RIVM or GGD. Why are these two organisations important? We have a IHR (International Health Regulation), this is structure that determents the information flow to the WHO during the pandemic. The GGD a crucial part of this information structure and has not released their yearly rapport yet.

Then we have social safety net 94,600,000,000.00, this too much. This needs to be restructured and than I think we could save 1/3 of this money. I think/know there is A lot of money waste here.

An overview what are the money makers and what are the money losers:

Loon en inkomstenbelasting, simply said tax money from all the (small) businesses in the Netherlands. This is our biggest income stream, it feels really weird saying this. Why? Because the Dutch government has made (almost) impossible for small business to function, while they are CLEARLY the biggest contributors to Dutch government.

The money lending in the Netherlands is serious, covid-19 crisis alone, €50,000,000,000.00

Then I saw this video about money lending from our previous minister of finance

When I read all this, we really need to restructure the Netherlands, there is a lot of money wasted. My tip for the Netherlands; bring back the Dutch BV from €335,000,000,000.00 to €250,000,000,000.00 then we get more friendly country to live in. Also use the Internet, it is shameful to say; but we do not look at cognitive diversity, do not take risks and remain in a (extreme) tunnel vision. The slogan of this medical crisis was: ‘together against corona’, that was sadly not the case. The government of the Netherlands was never willing to work with other businesses whom had loads of experience.

Look obviously restructuring €335,000,000,000.00 isn’t done in a week but in a month should be possible on paper, create a plan.
