The most popular game in America, NFL, leads to brain damage

The game is insanely popular in America. It is so deeply embedded into the American culture that talking about is leads annoyance. I’m talking about Chronic traumatic encephalopathy a certain brain damage (CTE).

 

The first man to really discover this type of brain damage is Dr. Bennet Omalu. He has made several autopsies on former NFL players which brought him to this research. If and when the research gets completed that even the most basic tackle in NFL could lead to a long-term brain injury, imagine what kind of lawsuits that could bring for the NFL and potential loss in revenue. A study revealed 165 former football players who competed at the high school, college, semi-pro or professional level. Of those tested, 131 showed signs of CTE. The nfl already paid 765 million not to go to trial another case.

The NFL certainly took their time to even admit that there was a link between brain damage and american football. This guy is the NFL Senior Vice President for Health and Safety Jeff Miller. So that is kind of big.
